Hey Mods you know that last post thing? I like to click it because a thread title interests me. You should change it so it goes to the first post of that thread and not the last.

The whole point of this, is so that you can view the latest/newest post. i.e. the last one ;)

I agree with Vile... again. Its annoying to go to the first page of a project log that you have been watching for weeks.... :p

I'm confused. Doesn't clicking the thread title take you to the first post of the thread? And clicking the last post icon takes you to the last post in the thread. What would be the point in having the last post icon go to the first post of a thread? What am I missing here? I'm so confused.

I'm talking about this

say the "question about abit motherboards" inteerested me is there a way to make it go to the first post of that thread so I don't have to scroll up or change pages? maybe a user controll panel thing as different users may have a different opion.

Oh I see what you mean. I thought you were talking about the little red arrow last post thing. I have noticed this too and I think it would be a good idea to go to the beginning of a thread. The little red arrow is still there if you wanted to go to the last post. As it is, it is a bit redundant.

On the main forum homepage there's a column titled "last post" with the thread title. Clicking that takes you directly to the last post that was made in a particular forum.

Then within each individual forum you have the option to (1) click the thread title and start at the beginning, (2) click the
firstnew.gif
to the left of the thread title (this will take you to the first un-read post in a thread you've viewed before), or (3) click the
lastpost.gif
in the "last post" column, which takes you to the last post made in that thread.

Okay, now that I typed all that, I see that Format _C: has made another post clarifying that he's referring to the main forum homepage. :)

I don't see any way that can be changed in the admin control panel to be a user-configurable option and I don't think it's really worth trying to "hack" the vBulletin code to change it.

My best suggestion is if a thread title interests you, just click on the forum it's in and it will be at or near the top of the list, depending on stickies and whether or not someone has submitted a newer post since.
