Hey guys (and possibly gals)

I'm hoping this will be one of the last threads that deal with the whole ATI vs. NVIDIA "0wnz0r/pWnz0r" bull-poo arguments. See? I'm sure a lot of you people are getting sick of hearing this and that (regardless of whether you support ATI more or NVIDIA more).. am I right? Yeah.. thought so (lol) There needs to be more civilized threads being created with regards to a new benchmark, or test or what have you. Flame wars are getting gay (and I use the term "gay" not referring to sexual-orientation :p).. and people don't even know what they're saying anymore. "Guhh.. ATIDIA r0x0rz!" :rolleyes:

What I'm trying to say here is.. we're all well aware of which card possesses which qualities and where they don't. Fact of the matter is, provided you can actually get your hands on one, you won't be disappointed. There are a lot of people who want to continue talking BS about facts they don't even know. Point is (again, lol) go with what you want.. not what others want (unless of course that's the only thing people are getting, then yes, follow along :cool: heh). So, post something like "here, here!" or "agreed" or "can I get a beer?" or whatever if you want to see people helping eachother with which videocard to buy, not pounding them in the face because of an opinion. Thanks for your time.. buy me a beer? :p

People say something is 'gay' because its gay. How would to refer to something as 'gay' then say... not refering to sexual-orientation ? lol ... polical correctness is for suckers.

I don't even know why there is an ATI vs. Nvidia battle. Anyone who knows anything knows that S3 Graphics is the company to fear... :rolleyes:
 
As long as there is Ati and Nvidia there will be ativsnvidia arguments. This is only the beginning, tho. HL2 benches come out and you will see insanity.

lol, it's possible to do that. People refer to things being "stupid" all the time. How can an inadamant object be literally "stupid" then? :p hehe
 
if you look at the issue seriously, then you will realize that companyvscompany arguments are actually a good thing. people are getting sick of it now because before the new cards came out there were no flame wars because there were no two good cards to duke it out over. big heated arguments are good because that means that each company has something good out that is worth defending.

so you kinda see where im going w/ this, if there were no good cards out, there would be no arguing, and thats a bad thing.....

but the immaturity and false information flying around in all these arguments lately have been really irritating, especially for a forum that is supposed to be for "Proffesionals"

I figure I go with what gives me the best performance for my bottom dollar. I work hard to earn my greenbacks, and I want the best I can afford. :p

Yeah.. yeah, I do :D and I'm referring to the 'childish babble'-type of arguments. There are good arguments out there that take key facts into consideration, and done with poise. They don't have be disgustingly flame-like :rolleyes:

I suppose I should edit my thread title to specify childish arguments, but that would be too long of a title :p

i wonder how well the people who made the gamecube's gpu/vpu would have done if they weren't bought buy ati soon after (or so i'm told)
 
That was almost a teal deer but neverthless this argument has been going on for years and probably won't end until one company goes belly up.
