Laser Printer problem

Ill keep this short. Brother Laser Printer connected to a dlink(look a like) print server.I leave the printer on all the time. After say about a half an hour of being on all the lights on the printer go off, im guessing into a power save mode. But when I send a job to print it does not wake. I have to go to the printer and turn its power switch off then back on. Shouldnt it wake itself?
