Guys, I am looking for a large (23''-24'') widescreen CRT to be used on my gaming box but will also double as a dormroom movie monitor. I just need some ideas and reviews. I have found a 24'' sony but I think it has been discontinued. I want to go large CRT over large LCD because I don't want to deal with any ghosting issues and CRT have the color vibrance that I have been unable to match with ANY LCD.

Thanks in advance,
Anthony

AFAIK, Sony was the only one to produce the 24" CRT. Sony's and all OEM versions of it have been discontinued. Might still be able to find one somewhere. Basically, everyone is canning CRT's for LCD these days.

IMHO (yeah, so I'm biased), you're best bet is to get one of these bad boys (or variant thereof):

16ms, 1920x1200, 1080P HD resolution, S-Video, Component, PiP. 1080P version of T3:Judgement Day looked awesome.

Your only choice is the Sony GDM-FW900 which runs near $2k with shipping, assuming you can find one. Since they've been discontinued, you might have trouble finding one.
