Large ISO Files

I have a question that seems simple.

If I have an ISO file that is 5GB in size could I write it to a BD (blu-ray) disc and use the disc as normal after the burn?

What type of files? Why not use a DL DVD?

just get a DL DVD, cheaper.

and normal as in read it in a computer with a bluray drive yes.

Or just mount the ISO and use it directly off the HD or a flash drive... VirtualCloneDrive ftw Lemme guess, is this a program someone's "sharing" with you? My sister had a similar question recently.
