Large Flat panel mounting solution

is that your setup or what you're planning to buy for your setup? that makes me almost makes feel like my 2405 is nothing... that display is simply amazing...
 
That's the plan if there is money comes in. I only use HP Professional workstation w/ intel based CPU. So I can only use 1 x FX4400 which yields 2 x 30".

HP has AMD that gives SLI, but I expect mid-end Prof. workstation w/ Intel based CPU c/w SLI so I can get 3 -4 x 30". At least one of them has to have a swing arm to get it out of the way when I watch TV.

Tenatively, I think 1 x Adtec Articulated arm, and 1 x Adtec w/ Dual arm display should do it. Australian workmanship should be good. Ergotron simply doesn't have anything that fits a 30".
 
well its a pretty nice setup... but you might be able to get it all individually for cheaper.... ie 2 2405's (2 x $840) and an apple 30" (~$3000) would probably save you at least a thousand right there... probably even cheaper if you were to take the 30" apple and get it directly from whatever company they base the panel on (lg or samsung i believe). i got alittle lost in your "techno talk" but i believe that should be the same as the other setup in terms of how many dvi supporting vid. cards connections you'd need.

in there you'll find some discussion on various arms for the dell 24", however on page 3 in particular (the one i linked to) you'll see pics/discussion of the humanscale m7 arm. alittle pricey but it seems like that'd be the arm to hold large displays... as always check out the specs first... as i haven't.... but more than likely it will fit 30"+.
 
these screen last many years. My Sony 20" was bought in 98, and toasted in 2003 or 2004. An LCD will last much longer. In addition, you can't get bigger than a 30", because if the size is too big, you need to move your chair up and down to see the top and the bottom, so 30" is about right for a long lasting solution.

As such, you don't want to save money to downsize to a 24". Most people have 20", upgrade to 24" isn't much of an impovement. It's some improvement, but not that much.

I read that thread. My name is all over that page. Human Scale definitely can handle the 30" easily. But I don't think Human Scale can support more than 2 screen x 30" (not wide enough).

So far, I can't find any manufacturer support 3 screens sideways. The best I can come up w/ is Adtec w/ 1 screen on Articulated arm, and their regular arm w/ 2 screens.

With Human Scale, it should do 2 x 24" just fine, but so is Adtec. Adtec gives you much more flexibility. It can rotate the screen easily 180 deg.
 
wow 16ms lcd for only 6 grand.. :rolleyes: the setup is impressive but for THAT kinda money I want 6ms so gaming is tolerable :)

the one from Australia, atdec, coincidentally, also support 22 lb. Human Scale can support much more wt. What do you think the best ergo looking and most useful arm is? I need it to support a 30", which should be 27 lb. including stand, about 22 lb. w/o stand.

I think the point of this display setup is more towards overal desktop space... not really gaming. thats why it's apprx. 52" of screen. I could handle 16ms at that size for that price. Just reference the 2405 12ms and 34 for $800 if your lucky... and whta do thos 30" cinema displas run? (someone?)

Point is, i need to change my pants.
