The gist, I have split my desktop into 2x 3D accelerated windows VMs.

What I am looking for is a single display that will allow me to split the display over two inputs. Samsung's UHD screens almost do this you can split the screen over any HDMI input and the old coax input... this does not help me.

Is there any screen in the 40"+ size that can split multiple inputs?

It would be awesome to do split screen gaming with my desktop without spending thousands on a pro-grade screen splitter box.

kinda surprised that for Samsung you can only split over one hdmi and coax , not another hdmi. I will have to see if I can test that out on my un40ju6500.

I have a crossover 324k that has 1 DP 1.2, 1 HDMI 2.0, 2 HDMI 1.4 and you can split into two inputs (1920x2160) or 4 1920x1080 tiles. but it's only 32 in.

Looking them up now, that would be exactly the feature set I am looking for but ideally a bit larger size!

Edit:

After digging up the very broken English version of their website, it looks like the largest screen they make these days is 30" :(

A friend of mine here just found this new Philips screen coming out that allows for 4-way, 4-input screen splitting! Here is the link to it, http://www.philips.com.au/c-p/BDM4350UC_75/brilliance-4k-ultra-hd-lcd-display.

It looks like exactly what someone wanting to do a multiplayer Xen/Qemu system could use. Add a couple of wireless keyboards and mice and you could have a sick family gaming PC! The old version of this screen supports split screen inputs and retails for $999 CAD at best buy right now.

Now I just need to decide between this or the HTC Vive...

Yes, the Philips BDM4350UC supports splitting the screen in may different ways. There is a thread about that monitor on this forum and it wasjust recently released. I purchased it on Amazon here in the US, received it last week, and have posted some of my thoughts on it in the thread.

Also, you can check the Dell 43" 4k, model P4317Q, that Dell said would be shipping on May 5th. It also supports up to 4 separate inputs on screen simultaneously. A few members on this forum have purchased it and should be receive it soon. I'm guessing they may report their experience with it on the thread here on this forum soon.

Good luck!

The Dell U3415W 34" curved 21:9 display also supports splitting the screen between multiple inputs.
