i'm looking to buy a laptop either from Dell (not XPS preferrably) or an HP/Compaq. I'm leaning more towards the Compaq. Are there any models that will allow you to change out the video card? The Compaq that I built for myself comes with an ATI 9200 but I'd like to put something else in it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks guys/gals!

hmmm...i think the Inspiron still is able to change out the vid card. I have an 8200 and you were able to do it if you could get a service rep to give you the part number for a 9000 mobile or GF4MX (in my case). So i would think the higher end models are still able to do that. Anyone prove me wrong?

If i remeber correctly the Clevo r9800, the Prostar 9095, and the Sager NP9860(or is it mp) all are pretty much the same notebook and have upgradable pci express graphics cards.
