Hi. I got an Asus G73JW laptop which has started to stutter both in windows and in games. Dont know when this started to happen, but i thought it might have something with me installing wrong drivers. So i reinstalled windows, and installed every driver from the asus support site, in the same sequence that a moderator mentioned on the asus support forums. But still the pc keeps stuttering, and it seems to happen when i do something that might take some prossesing power and/or harddrive work, as lets say open a link in a new tab in firefox then it locks for 1-2seconds and then continue like nothing happened.

Its not a big problem in windows, but when it comes to games, its unbearable. Cause it seems to freez every 5seconds for 2seconds.

Cant belive it has anything to do with temps, will upload an image or my temps after running furmark.

Any ideas what i might do to solve this? Or maybe find if my harddrive or something is next in line for replacement?

Have you run chkdsk yet to make sure it's not a problem with the HDD?

did it just now and found no problems. did a quick check with westerndigital's data life tool and found no problems there either. might run a full scan to night.
 
There's apparently a known issue with the Momentus HDD in your system. If your laptop is still under warranty, try to get them to RMA it and ship you a different model HDD. Otherwise, flash your HDD firmware to the latest, and flash your BIOS to the latest as well (off Asus support site of course).
 
ah thanks for reminding me to search for issues with the harddrive :D will try to update firmwire and contact the dealer if it doesnt solve it.
