laptop touchpad for PC?

I'd like to get a Laptops touchpad and mount it in my car as a mouse, possible? if so, how? Can you buy little touchpads somewhere or do you have to yank it from a laptop? Any help would be gratly appreciated, thanks.
 
you can but a touchpad keyboard.. adesso is a brand that comes to mind.. but they are used commonly in server racks where there is no room for a mouse.. just search google for "touchpad keyboard" and you will get a ton.. then take it apart and have fun.. i personally think a touchscreen monitor would be better though...
 
How easy/hard do you think it would be to take it apart, I want to make it flush with the console.
