I have a Toshiba L305D-S5895 Notebook that I am trying to connect to my JVC i' Art Pro TV. The JVC TV is about 6yrs old but supports 1080i I believe. I have the laptop connected to the TV w/ a VGA to RGB rca cables & for the audio I have a Belkin IPod Y cable that seems to work fine.
And the laptop is running ATI catalyst. I have the 2nd monitor enabled on the catalyst and on my display settings. If I changed to input 2 on the TV (where the laptop rcs's are connected in the back of the tv) I get sound for like 2sec. and no video picture. The ATI catalyst will detect the TV's video settings but I can't get a picture. Is there some setting I need to change on the TV to enable the RGB rca's? I believe the TV should just detect the video signal.
Or is there something in ATI catalyst I overlooked?
