Hey. I'm looking for a laptop. I was looking at one that looked nice. I think it was the Asus F3 Series.
Maybe something like this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220297

Needs:
-College stuff, i'm going for Computer Information Systems so just compiling code and web design and stuff like that.
-Gaming is a big Plus. If I can play some CSS, CS 1.6, COD4, ect that would be nice.

General Requirements
-Dual Core
-$1300 max (after shipping/tax/ect)
-Dedicated Card (ATI 2600 Maybe)
-No smaller then 14 inch screen. 17" is to big.
-Wireless N card
-Warranty is a big plus

Thanks.

You might consider the Toshiba Satellite A215-S6820. It's $1080 with free shipping many places. It has 2.2GHz dual core with an ATI 2400, 15.4" screen, wireless NI card. Warranty is the usual one year, but you can always buy an extended warranty for $130 (the same everywhere). Asus is good too, but I like Toshiba for the value.

Are you willing to lug a 6+ LBS 15.4 inch notebook around? My advice small portable 12inch + XBOX 360 for gaming.

If portability isn't a big deal then you should look into getting a Dell Vostro 1500 with an 8600GT and the other specs you mentioned. Fully configured, it should be well within your budget.

Another vote for the Vostro if your not in a rush to get one and its size/weight isn't a portability issue. They've been going on sale quite a bit at Dell, seems like for the past three weeks you could get one with the t7500, WSXGA+ screen, 8600gt for ~$750, then just upgrade the ram and harddrive yourself. It's also one of the laptops that you can order with XP, in case you run into some program you need that doesn't run on Vista.

I would also recommend the Vostro 1500. They are cheap and pretty well built with decent gaming capabilities and power.
