Recently I got a new Dell laptop, but to my suprise there was no ps2 slot. I got an adapter for 19 dollars that turned a USB slot into ps2, but here is the problem. When i try to play games, it doesn't seem to register when I hold the keys down, I have to tap them constantly in order to move. For typing this would be great, for gaming it isn't. If anyone knows how to fix this problem or knows a solution for this, please let me know. Also, any soutions of what I could do would be nice, thanks.

not that i think it's a great idea to spend more money, but i'd also try to find out if a port replicator might allow you to hook up a ps2 keyboard and hold keys down. there might be something off in the signal conversion that inheritly exists in the adapter.

I think the problem is strictly hardware related - the adapter thingy works like this and I don't think there's something you could do about it...
