Laptop possibly overheating

So I have a Thinkpad T30 and it occasionally freezes up. No errors in the event log, no Windows Blue screens or kernel dumps or anything of that nature.

The fan was clicking, so I replaced the fan.

I've been looking for something to monitor the motherboard temp. Any other suggestions?
