Laptop mod - Cooling?

So I took apart an old laptop (4 year old HP, nothing special) and I have the parts sitting on my desk, still working. I want to put it in a cereal box or something, but the processor gets very hot and the heatsink it came with is giving me problems (I have it because it was overheating and turning off)

So, what are some options for cooling that I can kind of build from stuff lying around? I'm willing to buy some things but I'm not looking to put a lot of money into this.

Also, if you have a better idea of what to stick it in, that would be appreciated. The cereal box idea was kind of off the top of my head.

the biggest thing is just trying to get enough cooling in the box.. i had one of those old p4's as well.. was a piece of crap when it came to cooling since it was just a desktop processor with a junk laptop heatsink thrown on it.. only way i was able to keep it cool was modifying a laptop cooler by replacing the quiet slow fans with some 3000rpm fans and the noise got unbearable after awhile.. but as for completely replacing the heatsink..i dont think thats quite possible.. but i also had an idea with using a laptop cooler by cutting the bottom of the entire laptop off and mounting it directly to the laptop cooler but i never got around to ever trying that..
 
I like the idea of attaching the laptop cooler directly to the computer. I've been messing around with the motherboard and I can't find any easy way to draw an extra 30V to the fan that I have. I do however, have a laptop cooler that I got and don't use much so I think I'll just take it apart and use the USB to run it.
