Is it possible to use the PSone LCD controller with a laptop LCD and run it how you would if you installed the PSone LCD as a secondary monitor?
 
Laptop LCDs do not contain onboard controllers, so unless you want to wire your own controller (think having a degree in EE or CE for starters), then you are SOL.
