Laptop LCD mod

I have seen people put lcd's into their cases for a all in one computer. Is there a way to do this with a laptop lcd monitor?

It has the flat ribbon coming out of the lcd, so you would need some kind of adapter? Do they make one? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Short answer: yes, and you need an adapter. Things may have changed in recent years, but as far as I am aware, while possible, it is cost prohibitive as the adapters are quite expensive and specific to the laptop model. You'd be better off buying an LCD specific for that purpose.
