Laptop LCD Malfunctioning, Colored Static

After a rough transport of my Thinkpad W510 laptop, the screen is now malfunctioning with a grainy/noisy static-filled image that's tinted red all over the dark areas, anything that tries to display as black gets the red static grainy flickering effect, and white displays as a cyan.
Here's what it looks like:

The problem is not present on the external monitor.
So far, I've tried reconnecting the LCD cables connected to the motherboard to no avail. I don't know if it's the cables, the motherboard, or the screen itself, but what should I do?
 
I'd say it's the screen because it's more delicate. If it was the motherboard it would likely affect the external monitor too. Probably too much to ask but do you have a spare W510 screen to test?
