Hey guys I stripped a working condition Philips LCD off of a HP ze4400 notebook and I thought maybe I can convert the links into a standard VGA connection.

This is all the connections I can see so far...

There's one cable that's connected directly at the back of the LCD screen

Here's the other end of the cable I'm guessing that thin green PCB is a power inverter and the other connecting end used to go to in the laptop's motherboard

Can you guys point me in the right direction on how I would go on about onto converting this to a VGA? Links? Etc.?

Or would this be a really really complicated type of modification? Or is it just plain impossible?

Thanks in advance!

Really really super duper complicated and expensive. Most laptop LCDs use a connection that's entirely proprietary and although it IS possible given enough money and resources to hack together an adaptor solution, it's quite cost prohibitive.

Snag yourself a cheap 17" LCD.
