Hi, My friend gave me an old hard drive from his HP laptop, and I'm wondering if I can buy a 2.5 external enclosure from the egg and make it a portable hard drive.

According to this search: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...+enclosure&orderby=1&sortby=22&srchInDesc=2.5

there are several choices. I know I'd like USB 2.0, and I dont care about 1394, but I dont know if all of them need to be externally powered or if some can be powered by USB.

Can anyone help me out with a choice? I dont mind spending more if the quality is better.
