so i have this laptop and it all of a sudden stopped working. in the bios and it said it could not detect the hard drive. so i bought a new hard drive and it did the same thing. so now i realize there is something actuually wrong with the computer. any ideas on how to fix this. its a toshiba satellite 1135-s155
 
If you bought and installed the drive correctly then its probably the onboard controller and there isn't much fixing to be done there. Check your warranty see if you can get repair service throught Toshiba, sounds like they'll need to replace the motherboard.
