Hey all, I'm tired of this and if anyone knows wtf to do it's ya'll.
I have a box stock HP DV7-4070us, HD5650 with 1gb dedicated, that I use as an HTPC hooked up HDMI to my Onkyo reciever to my 73" mitsu.
I'm sick of using HP's 3 year old drivers, they're sluggish, and they won't remember scaling, so I have to open CCC to get it to force the scaling every time I turn the TV on.
But, everytime I update drivers, I get HORRIBLE screen tearing on the desktop and browser whenever there is any movement on screen, video's seem to do fine in MPC-HC, and youtube.
If I disable Aero, I get no tearing on the desktop, but still bad tearing in browser, but youtube and video is still fine.
SO! Summary, new drivers, tearing everywhere but flash and video, disable aero, no tearing on desktop, video, or flash but tearing everywhere else.
I'm at a loss, I need this fixed as I don't want to go back to 3 year old drivers, but I DEFINITELY don't want this bad tearing either.
