Just recently sold my gaming machine but, still have a nice laptop to use until I can build another machine. The laptop is a Dell Latitude C840 with a Nvidia Geforce4 440 Go.

Dell's most current video drivers for the laptop were v.42.58 (4/2003)...and, since I can't use regular Nvidia drivers (according to Nvidia's website)...I was just curious if anyone knew of any other available drivers? Or, if there were any tweak pages to help increase the performance of the card.

Thanks. :)

Just use the regular forceware drivers. Download and run the driver file, cancel the install and update manually in device manager, display adapters, properties, update drivers. Browse to the c:\nvidia driver directory then select the closest card from the list, a GF4 MX440.

If you're missing the PowerMizer tab, use coolbits 2.0 to enable it. I always used the regular nvidia drivers with my GF4 440 Go and GF 4200 Go laptops.
