Hey All,
I'm about to get a new Dell M6700 from work. It's got some internal SSDs, but I need a high-speed external raid enclosure for forensic work & processing.
Right now, I'm looking at installing Bodhi Linux on it and looking for an external USB 3.0 enclosure with raid0 and putting 4x 10k 600GB velociraptors in it.
USB 3.0 has a max bandwidth of ~ 700MBs, but a single SATA II/III drive on this bus will only use about 120MBs. I'm hoping that with the right enclosure and raid controller I can saturate it. My initial research though hasn't come up with any solutions.
Anyone have experience/recommendations in this area?
