Laptop + Cell Phone = Wireless internet???

So how does one go about setting this up on a laptop? I have verizon and i have a centrino toshiba laptop. I would love to take advantage of all those unlimited night/weekend minutes. Can u go through the steps or maybe have a link with tutorial? thanks
