Laptop Brightness in Vista

I have a Sony VGN-BX560B and I've been running XP until today. I'm using Vista RC1 and the screen is permanently on low brightness. How can I change this? I tried contacting Sony support but they basically said I was screwed cause they don't support vista. Before in XP I would hit Fn and F6 for increasing brightness. Any ideas?
 
did you try re installing your keyboard drivers from sony? I know that my Asus has specific drivers for the function keys on the keyboard.
 
Problem was fixed it happened pretty much magically when I hit F8 while it was booting and did "Last Known Good Configuration" and now it's full brightness. Weird.
