Laptop Battery Issue

Hey guys,

Ever since my sister got her Dell Inspiron 1501 Laptop back when Vista first launched, it's had an issue with the battery. The battery charges fine, holds a charge and does what its supposed to.

However, upon boot after the BIOS screen I always receive the same error message.

"WARNING: The battery cannot be identified. This system will not be able to charge this battery. Press any key to continue."

I press any key, it boots up and operates normally.

What gives? :-\

Yes, but it didn't do anything. :-(

Is flashing the dell BIOS an option?

Flashing the BIOS is an option. If this doesn't work, then there maybe an issue with the mobo.
