Lanparty Case needed

Aspire X-Qpack. Hands down, the best bang for the buck. 2 full size bays, 2 hard drive bays, accepts a standard mATX board, excellent cooling, etc... etc... Even includes a PSU to get you started.

Oh yeah, it even has a handle.

I'd also go with this.

Aspire is cheaply made from my experience. I would go w/ Super Lanboy

I've built several systems in the X-Qpack, and I have nothing negative to say abot them.

Silverstone SG01

uses an mATX board but can house a full-size atx power supply. plus it's gorgeous. the only thing that makes it inconvenient for LANs is no handle, but those handle-strap things are pretty cheap and perfectly functional.

1 more for the lanboy
take some time for cable management with some lighting and u will ahve the sexiest lan case out there

it'll look like the town whore because everyone has already put their hard disk in one.

What about cooler masters ammo case? It has a handle and supports a full size motherboard. Heard the layout inside was spacious and it had good cooling. Any thoughts?

Ok this case is fine, and not a bad case for the LAN. However my vote is with the super lanboy as it is a bit higher quality.

I just bought one of those caese and I am really liking it. Its a tight fit for some things but nothing a little modding cant fix.

Again that's even if he wants to go with a SFF setup.

Hhaah Falls Church representing huh!?

And who says he doesnt? The Q-Pack uses mATX, so he can get a pretty damn good mobo in their. Its a fairly nice case, I dont recommend the PSU if your gear is really high end, but if we're talking medium range its fine. Its a good small case.

I dont like the Lanboy's personally. They always seem to look so long, they are light though, and have good suprisingly good cooling.

Huh, I guess I never really looked at the Qpack. The Super Lanboy/Lanboy isn't really all that long. Probably half an inch longer than my Syncmaster 19inch. The only thing tricky with the case is proper cable management...at least that is where I ran into problems.

don't forget about the lanparty nf4 ultra-d. see the worklog section of the modded nf4 in an x-qpack. i'd recommend the x-qpack, as well.

As great as that thing may be, it looks pretty fugly IMO

I have a 600 watt OCZ power supply in my qpack and I am running a nice setup. Pretty much all top of the line stuff in the case. Its the only cube style case I could find with 2 5.25 drive bays.

I just moved to Falls Church recently from New Orleans. Dont know the area and anyone here. It cost so much damn money to live here.

My next party case would probably be a Mountain Mods Bob Slay. Real nice small acrylic cube that can fit 2x5.25" external, 3x3.5" internal, full size ATX power supply, and a full size ATX mobo.

Woah New Orleans? This wouldn't have anything to do with Katrina would it? And Yeah, Falls Church, actually Northern Virginia is absolutely ludicrous. Glad to see someone else from the area though :)

Yeah I moved because of Katrina.

Well what better than the Antec super Lanboy. Its cheap, and has LAN in its name :)

I think the superlan boy looks crappy. Also the name is pretty lame. If you were to mod the entire front end of it it might look better. Just my 2 cents. I will take a picture of my qpack and post it to show you how it looks. I have some before shots i need to take some after ones when I get a chance.

As great the qpack is; I am trying to stick with a case that can handle a full-size motherboard. Though, it needs to be small light and sturdy enough to take with me to lanparties. From what I hear the superlanboy is pretty darn shacky; so I am trying to steer away from that option.

How is it shaky? When you want something light you are going to have to go with aluminum or cardboard...your pick. It's fine to me, and has been nothing but wonderful. It also comes with a cusome carrying bag-thingy, which makes it even easier to transport.

Have a look around, but don't brush off the Super Lanboy

Some compusa stores stock super lanboys, so I would say go there and see how it feels. My friend has one and I have never heard him complain about it.

The Antec Super LANboy is an amazing case and is by no means "shacky" (what the hell does that mean anyway? j/k). Its easily the best LAN case out there, seconded only by Shuttle cases...and seeing as you don't have a Shuttle, this is your best bet.

Another vote fo the Lanboy.

Great cooling, lotsa room, the looks are all personal opinion. I like mine, some may not like it. But I could crush your Super Lanboy with it and not even scratch the paint on my Ammo :D

Looks interesting, but the air crossflow in the upper section looks like it's cut off by any cards you stick in the motherboard. I would think that would not only hinder airflow, but also create more noise. Thoughts?

Someone is selling a Super Lanboy for $60 shipped in the FS/FT forums. I suggest jumping on it as it is a wonderful deal for a wonderful case.

Super Lanboy treated me nicely for the time I used it. Except for the time where I hit the power button too hard and it stuck in, so I had to put the reset button onto the power switch pins on the mobo..... that damn button is still stuck in.
