I tried to post this in cooling a while ago, but got no responses. Anyhow, since it relates to an HTPC case I thought I would post it here. I bought the Thermaltake Lanbox lite case a few months ago and while I really like the case in general I cannot find a way to keep it cool. The Power supply is right above the CPU and I have a passively cooled 8600 to the right of the CPU. I think the layout of the case kinda traps heat in there. I was wondering if anyone has this case and has found a way to keep it cool. I have run core temps and speed fan and processor seems to be around 49 C idle and in the 50's under load.

You may have better luck asking this question over in the Overclocking or Case modding subforums.

He's right about posting in the overclocking and cooling or case and case modding forums.

However, I'd probably try to rig up a 120mm fan in the place of the two 60mm ones, on an angle. You'd probably have to build a shroud out of whatever materials you have available to support it.

Or maybe a couple blower style fans instead? http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=77194 as an example, just mount 'em in place of your 60mm fans.
