LanBox Liquid Cooling?

What would be my options for liquid cooling this case? I play to do a build later this month and want it to be as quite and "neat" as possible. I will go Intel with the new Abit board (which I've been following since Steeve started it). I will have one DVD Burner and two hard drives. I also plan to buy a Cosair 520 and a 8600GT when they come out. I would like to cool the CPU and VGA but you can't always have what you want. If just the CPU is what it takes to stay internal then I’d prefer it that way. I do want everything internal except for maybe a 120 rad strapped to the back but if at all possible for it to stay inside.
This will be my first liquid cooling set-up and I'm very excited about the possibilities. I know that I won't get a crazy overclock with this mATX board and don't expect so I don't need the extreme cooling solutions just something to play with, what's your thoughts?
 
Main problem with Lanbox is its size. Really isn't much room for a Radiator in that case.

New Thermaltake's BigWater 760Li. Looks to be your best choice with self-contained water-cooling system (radiator, pump and tank).
 
I don't want a kit like that I want it to be DIY with name brand componets such as Danger Den and Swiftech. I'm coming to the realization that I might just have to go w/ an external rad the more that I read and look at. I've seen some people get away with it and a MicroFly I've just never actually seen this case in person just the pictures online. Does anyone else have any input.
 
You can fit a 120 rad in a Micro Fly internally. I've done it. And there's even better radiators out there now than when I did mine.
 
If you are going to and from lans a lot I would recommend not to use liquid. Many do it, but air is just so much easier for on the move.

Fittings can come loose, things move when being transported, liquid does not mix with components well :p


But if you are set on it, you can probably do a single 120mm internal. All depends on what case you pick
 
Actually I agree with Grentz. My current system is air-cooled. I've got an AC-Freezer 64 Pro on my Brisbane and my 7900GTO's stock heat sink is more than sufficient for OCing.

Trying to route tubing is a PITA and if you ever have to swap equipment (I do every 6 months or less), it gets old fast.

Unless you're going to do an extreme mod like others have done and stuff a 120x2 radiator in the case, you'll get as good temps with good air cooling.

Have you ever tried it? I was thinking how that would fly, because I am going to be doing it soon! Should make for an entertaining conversation, like n00b joked... :D

7/16" tubing with smooth band belt clamps and perfect seal barbs? There is no way those fittings are coming loose.

Unfortunately there is really no good design that will work with that case. You could try to find one of those gallium Xeon coolers that were being sold on eBay for $300, drill some holes in the block to make it work and mount it where the drives normally go. Of course, you would definitely never get through security with one of those! :p

If you are just going for looks, dworley had pics of a triple-peltier chiller thing a few days ago. It doesn't cool any better than air, though.
 
They pulled me aside and did a search with the cloth thing attached to a stick. Took em an extra 15-20 minutes to go over my rig. I'll let someone else experiment with not being able to fly to their destination ;)

Great information I don't plan to travel too much and I know without at least a double rad cooling anything more then the CPU will be just as good a as a couple of nice Heatsinks but it is going to be more for "The experience"and looks. I'm thinking I might stuff and single 120 inside and maybe strap a single 120 on the back Again thank you all for your input. I'll look up dworley's post as well.
 
So so far here is what I'm thinking for parts I think it should cool better then a say Blue Orbe II or something like that I plan to cut a hole in the case and resess the resivouir. I've yet to decide on a block but that's not really dependent on fitting it in the case. I will shop for better prices later and maybe a diffent pump.

won't that TT 5 1/2" rad take up both your 5 1/2" bays or are you planning on running it passive or are you gonna flip it around and have the fan sticking out the top?
 
Actually I plan to remove the HD tray and make a mount to put one HD on the bottom and mount the other in the flopppy slot I meant to put that in the previous post. Thank you for pointing that out. I have decided that I will have the VGA in the loop as well so I want more cooling then one RAD can supply. If its possible I would like to cool the NB as well.
 
Ok, sorry to say, but if you really want to get a good custom WCed kit in your computer, you need to ditch a few things.

One, stick with all copper. Your thermaltake rad and the resovoir are aluminum, which means, CORROSION. Since you are building in a mATX case, I assume you an't going to want to drain and refill every few months...

If I were you, I'd ditch the Thermaltake and the res, and get a 2x120MM switftech MCR220 and mount it on top of the case with the fans on the inside sucking in (or on another side, same layout).

The black ice extreme series are really restrictive, and do not provide great performance unless you get really good air through them (>80CFM). The GTS is even moreso in the air aspect than the GTX is. If you can manage the size, get the MCR220, you will save $100 and will probably get better temps.

I am thinking of doing my next build in a SFF case, after completeing my first liquid cooled in a V2100, I decided it was too big for my next build...
 
The whole CORROSION and Aluminum thing has me confused. Aluminum is used on Soda cans, Siding and roofs for houses, and as Radiatiors in cars because its light weight discipates heat and no Non-Corrsive. I can understand if you let it go for months without changing out the fluid but that's not my intention it will be drained three times a year or so.. I will change from the DD RAD and pick out something that requires less air flow. Correct me if my assumption is wrong but I think I'll stick with that set-up a 2*120 Rad is too large for my liking. I understand copper might be a slightly better choice but I'm not going to sacrifice looks because it will do a little bit better job and require me just a little less work over a period of many months.
