LAN COOL PC-K60

I really like what they did with the hard drives on that case. If it were made out of aluminum, I would say that it's better than the PC-P50.

I'm simply amazed by this case. It's probably the best budget case I have ever seen.

I couldn't believe they left that 4890 hanging by just the slot clips!

Yes they're some decent features on a budget case, but I would still get the sense that i'd gone for inferior quality.

yes but if the price is right..i dont see where you can go wrong

i thought the same thing lol

it looks like a pretty good case for the price, but i am concerned about the air flow. 1x140mm intake, with 2x140mm exhaust and a 1x120mm exhaust. i realize that the excess pressure will intake through the grating on the front, but with most of the pulling being up and out of the case, i think that there is not going to be that much ambient air getting to the gpu. i would like to see another 120mm or 140mm intake fan either on the bottom of the case near the front, or in the side by the gpu. it is a simple mod, but i still feel that another intake fan should have been added in production to better accommodate the gpu.

You could probably install a 120mm fan in the 5.25'' drive bays with zip ties. Also, you could probably reverse the top fans and install a dust filter. I do agree that the stock fan configuration is a bit wanting.

I would prefer to see more intake fans. I haven't seen much talk recently about balancing input/output CFM to avoid dust buildup (you want positive case pressure as opposed to negative case pressure.)

I'm lucky in that I'm not a gamer, so I don't need to clear the heat from a crazy 3-way SLI setup. I think this case will suffice for my moderately overclocked Core i7 920 build.

Here is some info I gathered.

Availability? Mid august - http://forum.ncix.com/forums/?mode=...did=2040836&pagenumber=0&msgcount=0&subpage=1

Price? $USD ~115-130

Note, I looked into the K-62 Dark Ice, which has a window and a matte black internal paint job. Prices might differ on other models.

Newegg has it listed
K62 (Window, internal paint) - $119.99

K58 (No window?, no internal paint, doesn't ship with upper fans) - $85.99

Nice cases, no doubt.

Slap on another front intake fan and maybe a side panel GPU fan, and you'll have a nice balance between intake and outtake.

i bet this is a dust magnet..lol

i wonder if you have all the fans blow out ..would that be effective cooling?

I think w/the K62 (which i'm seriously considering), the 2x140mm top fans might be a little much.
I definitely wouldn't feel, however, that if I purchased one of these i'd be purchasing something of inferior quality. I think the quality of this case would be as good as the comparable (PC-P50) Lian Li...just in a steel/plastic (albeit quality plastic) version.

Are you serious?
If you watched the posted video you would see that every fan port in there had a removable dust filter. And all of the fans blowing out? Try it on your case and see what happens.

I think you guys are exaggerating the dust problem. The only places through which dust can enter are the expansion slot covers, and you could always swap them for these or just use a lot of PCI cards ;)

I mean, I'm concerned about the dust just because we have so many CFM flowing in to the case. Yes, the dust filters are a nice thing. But, you have to imagine that they will only stop dust particles of a certain size.

What I think would work would be to undervolt the top 2X140mm fans. You'll still move good CFM, but hopefully not overpowering CFM. And hopefully it'll be a little quieter.

People see what I'm talking about? The case has 3X140mm fans doing intake (two on top, on in front) and only a 120mm fan (and power supply) doing exhaust...

The top fans are exhaust fans.

im tempted to pick this up...gonna look for more pictures since neweggs isnt up

I've got the PC-P50 and I love it, though if I had seen this case at the same time, I might have gone with it instead. I like the way the HD's are situated better in this case.

Also, It's pretty easy to add a front intake fan. Just picked up on of these, slapped a fan in, and now I've got 2x120's in front, 1x120 in back, and 2x140's up top. Plenty of cooling for my needs.

the LIAN LI Lancool PC-K62 looks like the LIAN LI ARMORSUIT PC-P50. loved how they incorporate some of the features from the PC-P50 @ a lower price.

I hope other places will carry the PC-K62. I am tempted, but wished there was free shipping for the case.

what would be teh proper way to setup a tower style heatsink on here..fan wise push from front to back?

I was going to order a pc-p50 and then i saw the PC-K62. The black interior and the roughly $50 cheaper price point its pretty enticing.

If they had a pc-p50 with a black painted interior I would be in love. (I could always do it myself but I am lazy it probably would not come out as good as if lian-li did it themselves)

How well does that unit blend in with the p50? I assume it blends in perfectly...

QFT
Shipping came up to nearly $24 when I checked a minute ago @ NewEgg....I'll wait for a free shipping promo before I possibly pick one up.

anybody picked one of these up yet? I've heard the audio cable is too short to reach the mobo.
Can someone confirm this?
