Aight, this is a very odd issue I have here.
I'm sitting on some top of the line stuff here, still, my computer can't even play mp3's at the same time as I upload files (many small files) to a FTP!
It's lagging, just if you were streaming the file with a slow connections.
So what's my specs then?
PSU: Antec Truepower 480W
Mobo: ASUS A8N-SLI Premium
CPU: AMD 64 4200+
Memory: 1Gb Kingston ASUS verified memory, dual channel
HDD: Samsung SP2504C (SATA II and NCQ)
FTP software: FlashFXP 3.0 Build 1015
Actually, I think it's the HDD. Because since I installed the OS in it, I've had problems with my Photoshop which I'm working with daily. Never had any problems with my Seagate disc, but I actually bought this one to gain some kind of a performance boost, not very big one maybe, but a little. And what do I get? I get lagged mp3 files when uploading smaller files to FTPs! It's also lagging when I delete files from the FTP server, which also is weird since the server isn't local. In fact, my mouse cursor is lagging as well! I can't belive this...
I've checked the speed of all my drives with HD tach. The only concern there is that I think the performance is lacking when accessing the 200Gb+ areas.
Does anyone have any idea of what the problem could be? I haven't tried with my Seagate disc yet. It's a hell for me to change discs, so I would rather skip that part
Thanks in advance!
