DC runs like butter for me at 1280 6x16 AAAF no lag from the first step in the server, and I am first in so I grab the MiG...
GG....

Xxplosiv said:i have no lag in any games i play, including DC, FH, BFV and normal BF. i have my vid card(PNY 6800 GT) OC'd to 425/1100(did have it higher, but it was studdering in games) and my proc is running 200x12 when its normal is 166x13, if u dont have a soundcard that might be why it takes a few mins to die down with the lag

Yep, I figured this is why my system is a bit choppy at the highest settings. I only have 512 MB of ram, a P4 2.4B woody @ 2.52 GHz, and an eVGA 6800 GT @ 400/1100.C4rniV0r said:DC needs a gig of RAM
Xxplosiv said:try 2.4 ghz for your proc. i can run my XP 2700 that high, but in BF it gives me teh jitters so i have it clocked down.
Xxplosiv said:what kind of sound card do you have? i have an audigy LS and i dont have any lag exept for alil bit of hard drive lag, which i hardly ever get
Xxplosiv said:someone just informed me its a prob with the drivers, try the beta 66.00 drivers
EricDawg said:SOB, I was all set on getting a 6800GT so I could play my fave, BF1942 and get BF Vietnam (can't play it with my lame 7500 mobility). Now I hear my favorites don't play too well with Nvidia? Aye, yae, yae. Not that ATI's are even available. Ugh.
live2sk8 said:But also, I was an avid DC player (played in some top clans for ~6 months) and ever since the 1.6 patch for BF1942, it always needed a "warm up" time. I think its an issue with Nvidia cards and the 1.6 patch (maybe PunkBuster?).
I never really played BFV for that long, but in DC/BF1942 you press T to turn them on - it's basically some newb tutorial that tells you certain "helpful" things about the game.EricDawg said:Seems like there's a few issues with the BF series? But you're right... I checked the EA website and they say BFV has issues with AA/AF right now, and also some features in the ATI 9800. So I guess I shouldn't freak out too much. I'm sure it's way better than BF1942 on my Thinkpad (Caspar everywhere).
Just curious... I'm not familiar with the radio tooltip (BFV feature?). What is it and why would it cause you problems with graphics? Seems odd. Nice to know though if I ever get either one (BFV or 6800).
Thanks. Happy Killing!
