It's no secret that 90% of gaming performance comes from the GPU and CPU upgrades do not need to be as frequient as GPU upgrades. Still it would be nice to see a comparison to have some numbers on the idea.

Benchmark 2-3 recent games (BF4/Rise of the Tomb Raider) with all generations of Intel i5/i7 CPUs running Nvidia GTX 4XX series cards to current? Would be nice to see how much better the older Intel CPUs are at handling games and how much worth while it would be for a CPU upgrade.

Basically..

6700k vs i920 - GTX 480, GTX 580, GTX 680, GTX 780, GTX 980, GTX 1080
6700k vs 2600k- GTX 480, GTX 580, GTX 680, GTX 780, GTX 980, GTX 1080
6700k vs 3770k- GTX 480, GTX 580, GTX 680, GTX 780, GTX 980, GTX 1080
6700k vs 4770k- GTX 480, GTX 580, GTX 680, GTX 780, GTX 980, GTX 1080
6700k vs 5930k- GTX 480, GTX 580, GTX 680, GTX 780, GTX 980, GTX 1080

For giggles core duo and core quads. Could run one article per week for 5 weeks. Possibly 6 with a grand comparison.
