KVM switch refreshrate problem

Hi everyone. I recently bought a Trendnet 4-port KVM switch. I had no experience with these things before, and didn't expect problems. I must be a slow learner, because I should know by now that there is nearly always problems with computer stuff. :(

Well my problem is like this: Installation was simple and easy, and I was up and running within a few minutes. Both machines I connected worked fine, this one with Windows 2000, and the other one running knoppix. But then I noticed that my screen seemed flickery. I used to run at 1280x1024 @ 90Hz, now it is locked at 60Hz. I tried to play Unreal Tournament, noticed that I was getting 60fps, locked by vsync.

I've tried running refreshforce, even tried running DXdiag.exe to try to force the refreshrate to 90Hz. No go. I run Unreal Tournament at 1024x768, and the refreshrate still seems stuck at 60Hz.

So.. is there anything I can do to fix this, or should I consider getting a refund for this switch?

Some more information:

here is a link to the specifications of my switch. Says it has 200MHz bandwidth for video. Is this just too low for it to be useful for gaming? Would think if it supports a resolution of 1920 x 1440 that I could run 1024x768 at a higher refreshrate. Would someone enlighten me please?

Hmm mysteriously my Trendware KVM switch began to work properly, it now works fine at both resolutions. All I did was to go into my adapter settings and click the button to "List all modes". I didn't even change anything there.. it just began to work.. coincidence perhaps?
