Hey guys,

I'm thinking about getting a simple 2 port KVM going in my room. Every now and then I am working on computers... I am getting tired of having to unhook my main machine and use another computer, especially when I have to go onto my computer and look something up. I have a completely other setup in my room that would enable me to have multiple stations going, but I have no room for all of that stuff [it would primarily just be another kb, mouse, power strip, monitor, etc just to work on another computer somewhere else in the room]. The place where I would use that stuff is no more, I have no where else to run that... so I figure a KVM is going to be the best way to go.

1) I have an LCD Monitor... will the KVM Impact the performance of that in any sort of manner?

2) Can you recommend any good KVM's that I should get?

3) Anything that I should look out for?

ive got the linksys one as well....i love it!!!....just a simple tap tap on the SCRLLK key and your on the other comp

Add a third vote. Just keep in mind you won't be able to use the DVI if your LCD has one. Other than that, no performance is lost.

Get decent quality cables, mostly for video. Cheap cables can cause ghosting in games/videos
