Hi Guys,

I have a problem getting my VM guests to talk to each other over my SDR infiniband network.

I cannot seem to ad the ib0 ipoib device to a bridge for KVM.

Does anyone have this running?

The hypervisor is KVM, on a ubuntu server 14.04.

To follow up on my own question.

Bridging cannot work because it is a layer2 function. IPoIB has a different layer2. It can never be bridges with ethernet devices, real or virtual.

Additionally, bonding works, but only mode 1 is supported. (active passive failover) IPoIB links cannot be bonded to make more bandwidth.
