KV8 Pro-3rd Eye No OTES????

Honestly, I've heard quite a few mixed results from the OTES to begin with....let alone the fact that a lot of ppl found it quite irritating. After using the IC7-MAX3 I can honestly say that it doesnt really have that much (if any) of an effect on your overclock directly, if anything it MIGHT help case/mobo temps a BIT....but even there, only slightly. I never had any conflicts with the OTES.....but it was more an asthetic addition to the motherboard, as opposed to something that was very functional.

just my .02 on the OTES, after experiencing it myself.

OTES was just a marketing technique. Active cooling on motherboard capacitors and mosfets is just plain unnesscery.

slapping some ramsinks or something on 'em will have just as nice of an impact....if not better, seeing as there is very little DIRECT airflow on/over the caps and mosfets and such under the OTES....as that little 40mm (or so) fan doesnt move enough air to create a lot of airflow towards teh back of the "tunnel".

Cool, well since air flow in my case is not a problem...I'm not going to worry.

Has anyone seen this board yet? I want to know it the got rid of them damn red lights on the top of the boad that are on all of there OTES equiped boards? They would just look like ass in my case....all else fails....ELECTRICAL TAPE!!! hehehe

I wish ABIT would make more motherboards with black pcb's.

No kidding, I'm not going to buy a mobo for its color....but the black PCB's DO appeal to me, with my Black Lian-Li. I'm not sure how much of a reality it would be, but I think motherboard manufacturers should allow ppl the option to get the board in a range of at least 6 colors. This woudl allow someone to match their mobo up with the rest of their case.....and come away that much happier.
