• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

When I first put this system together I tried a quick OC and it booted up at 2.43, but now when I tried to do a little OC with it, it locks up and requires a power off. Twice now I have had to repair Windows itself in order to get back to desktop.

Someone mentioned something about a conflict between via and sata, but they didn't give any detail. Would this be what the problem is, and is there anyway around it?

The system works just fine at stock settings, but even trying to increase the fsb by one or two will cause the lockup.

There is no apg/pci lock on that board and sata hates pci out of spec. That is why you have to keep repairing it.

The only amd64 boards that have a lock seem like the new nforce3 250, and the reference nforce3 150 that was sent to anandtech.com atleast.
