I just installed a 920 on a new build with a 2600k. When I go into the BIOS on first boot I bring up the monitor tab and watch the temperatures rise slowly until I shut down around 36C the fans on the Kuhler are at 640 revs at the time.

My main thought is that maybe I have it mounted in the wrong place? I have it mounted at the top of the 800d case blowing up and out instead of at the rear blowing out. Would that make a major difference? Is the pump too weak to push straight up like that?

Thanks for you help and thoughts!

36 is perfectly normal temps for the CPU while in the bios. I don't understand why people keep thinking that these all-in-one solutions will magically give them close to good custom water cooling system temperatures.

Edit: Just to add. Idle and bios temps don't matter, it's your load temps that do. And for current generation Intel chips, that is below 100 C.

Thanks for the help folks, as soon as I update and get the software set I am turning up the clocks.

Thanks again
