Kosher Search Engine Released

Um guess yall didn't get what I was saying, yes trollish etc.

It is silly to think that people must use "safe for xyz religion" search engines to avoid sin when sin in itself requires intent according to most religious texts, thus running across something sinful on accident wouldn't count.

I didn't get that from that other post but I agree with this post. However, sin is usually accompanied by temptation, and to eliminate the possibility of intent or temptation, it's best to remove the entire possibility to begin with.

I have no problem what other people and religions do with their own website, it's their own right to do as they please. I don't get why people get up in arms so much when one group just wants to have their own environment... nothing different from the black search engines and sites, Asian search engines and sites, gay pride search engines and sites, etc. More power to them.

I'm actually quite surprised it took them this long for such a search engine and surprised there aren't more, religion makes up the majority of the global populations, so there is a definite market segment potential there.

I agree, how ever what would happen if you made a "white" search engine.

One more thing.

I heard they replaced the "I'm feeling lucky" button with "I have chutzpah".

Ahh, any search engine not specified as other race specific is considered white. Kinda like how febuary in the US is black history month, where is the white history month, ask any black person and they will say the other 11 months of the year.

Making anything specific for a race, sex, or religious belief, is just a form of separatism, and just another way to bring about the us vs. them issues of the world.

Last ones, I swear.

It works really well, except on Shabbat when if refuses to labor.

Two websites that it filters are the National Pork Producers Council and a tip table website. It just replaces the page with the words "Oy Vey! What are you made of money?"

Ok, I'm sorry for that last one. It seemed a little too racist.

Yep. And I'm sorry, but I know too many people who have come from nothing to make them self into something to believe that it is anything but an excuse these days.

Am i the only one that notices for all the "unity" and "melting pot" ideas we throw around, everyone is more than happy to segregate themselves. Jewish search engines, black search engines.

everyone is caught up on the idea of being special and unique, and clique-ish.

Everyone wants to be special/unique/noticed but at the same time you can't discriminate or even notice they are different? wtf people

Well:

A) It's not like there isn't racism. Remember that there are still people who INTENSELY refuse to believe the Nazis systematically executed Jews, that blacks are actually the same species as whites and just as potentially intelligent as any other human (race is irrelevant - it's all about the education you can get). It's an unfortunate fact that some humans are just plain stupid and are stopped cold by someone's skin color, hair style, or ancestry. It's a shame, but there it is.

B) Yet, this, too, is still a problem. I mean, I understand the attraction of studying the past. I have a huge amount of Polish ancestry, and find study of the Poles quite interesting. How well they actually did against the Nazis, all things considered (given that the Soviets - who they assumed were their allies, betrayed them at the worst possible moment). Heck, they even did better than the French! (Poland never actually surrendered in the war, and the campaign to conquer Poland took the Germans and Soviets COMBINED only ONE WEEK less than it took Germany alone to conquer France!)

On the other hand...all this does it make the study of certain parts of world history more compelling to me. That's it. I hardly try to tie this culture in with my day-to-day life. Or make people call me a "Polish-American" instead of just "American" (SRSLY, my family has been here 2 generations - I'M AMERICAN, PERIOD, not "something dash American"). Or eat only Polish food or listen to only Polish music (indeed, I'm not actually a fan of polkas). Every generation of my family up to mine embraced the idea that America was a "melting pot", and the good things from our culture would be incorporated in the over-arching "American culture" (I am intensely pleased with the popularity of sauerkraut, pierogi, and potato dumplings in US cuisine), and the bad things would not be (NO POLKAS, KTHXBYE!).

I don't see any problem with that. I like that I get to experience so much more from so many other cultures that have similar "melted" into the American experience. Specifically, the best of those cultures, just as the American "melting pot" absorbed the best parts of MY ancestor's cultural artifacts and discarded the rest.

Looks quite cluttered to me. Very slow too.

HOLY WANNABE-JAPANESE WEBSITE, BATMAN!!!

Seriously, I've seen less cluttered content in Japanese ad circulars. ?And I think those have a listing discount for how many you can stack on top of each other?
