how would you know if one pump went bad on the koolance since theres 2 pumps.
 
it's designed in such a manner that if one pump fails the system will 'gracefully overheat'-- one pump isn't enough to keep the coolant flowing so if a pump fails, you'll know.

As opposed to other systems that DON'T overheat when the pump dies? I think Koolance products are weak and would never buy one, but I don't think your statement is justified.

the fact that you cant even tell if a pump dies, much less replace the pump, is pretty bad

Neutraleyes said it overheats if the pump dies, just like most other average systems would.
 
if and when the pump fails, the koolance sill emit a high-pitch beeping noise until it's shut off. if the temperatures on its thermal probe get to be [i think] 60C, it will shut the system off.

btw, i have a Koolance EXOS reservoir with two pumps - anyone wants to buy it? PM me if interested. i have other parts of the EXOS as well.
 
so if the pump fails i will definetly know, because it will beep alot, i noticed my temps have been about 5 degrees hotter the past 2 days on my koolance, so i was wondering it might of been the pump, but its not beeping.
 
i'll know if the pump in MY system stopped working when i sttop feeling/hearing it.(it vibrates the floor i think)

of course, i forgot to turn on my pump one time when i turned on my computer, and the thing jst booted right up and maintained decent temps until i realized it and then turned on the pump 5 minutes later (wanted to see what would happen, pretty much nothing did) temps were a little higher than usual, but not by much)

to the OP: did your ambient temp change in the past to days?
 
i noticed my temps rise about 2 days ago, normally im ideling on the exos, "which is the water temp" at about 80F and now the temp idels at 88F. nothing to be alarmed about, but still it makes me wonder.
 
oops i forgot to tell u my ambient temp. the ambient temp didnt seem to go up at all, its usually 75F or 82F.
 
as i said my ambient temp is about the same, i used asus probe to look at this, but i just noticed my video card temp is about 5C hotter than usual at idle. i did add another SATA hardrive, but when i did that i took out my 80GB IDE hardrive.

usually your WC stopping is something you notice...that and you should have both thermal overheat and MBM5 overheat sensing on...if you dont...well, youre the kind of person using a koolance.
 
funny. My buddy is using an EXOS. It works GREAT. I wouldn't slam Koolance users. Hey, at least they are brave enough to put WATER in their computer. Most aren't.

The fact that they bought a Koolance may make them slightly less [H]ard but that doesn't mean they aren't still [H]ard. Give them a break. The Koolance does provide SIGNIFICANTLY better cooling than air, with much less noise, and does it with no headache and an easy setup. It has its advantages, for sure.

It is not for me, but for those who decide to use them, it is not a bad system.

Also, it would seem to me that if your W/C fails, and you DON'T notice because your system isn't overheating, then it doesn't really matter then, now does it?

a zalman 7000 Cu definatly performs as well or better with less noise.

and yeh, I guess thay are a little braver, but it annoys me that I know, i just KNOW, that at a lan party im going to next week with a lot of people, someones gonna have a koolance and go on and on about how theyre so hardcore or something. its a start and it is watercooling for the masses but it is by no means a good watercooling system nor a better than air WC system.
