koolance gpu cooler/ any good?

i have that exact same block but without the big RAM cooling attachment, runs perfectly for me, ive never been able to get it to overheat even after cranking on the volts, ive never seen this before though, il keep it in mind as ive been looking at a new 6800 gt

Wow that ram cooling thing is interesting, I have that block on my 9700 Pro and it has been working great. Probably the thing I notice the most is the dramatic decrease in sound. To be honest I cant gauge how much more overclocking potential I have now because I dont remember what I used to be able to get it up to. Build quality is top notch.

I ordered that gpu/memory cooler last week with my new koolance watercooling rig.
Cooling both the memory and the gpu on the card was just too good to pass up.
However, I just realized that with this waterblock I am probably going to be stuck with using it only on my 6800gt/6800ultra video card that I haven't chosen yet. (On my next computer upgrade I'm probably going to have to get a completly different gpu block.

Remember to keep this in mind.....

Actually this cooler looks like it makes quite a bit of sense. About time they made watercooling for the ram chips. (Excuse me if there are other such manufacturers that offer this concept)

I have a Koolance watercooling setup and I'm going to use this with my Radeon X800XT PE (when it gets back from RMA):

I've had great luck with Innovatek products in my Koolance watercooking setup and recommend that you look at their Nvida cooler.

What is the wire in that picture for? Is it some kind of temp probe?

LED and associated wiring

I didn't buy the version with an LED because it makes it go from a one-slot solution to a two-slot solution.

By the way, the Innovatek GPU/Mem cooler is about double the price of the Koolance
