KMPlayer sharpen doesn't work with mkv?

Am I doing something wrong? I've tried messing with all the settings but can't seem to get the sharpen functions to work with mkv files. Does anyone have any input? For now I'm using VLC because it works there but I really want to use kmplayer for all the additional tools.

I googled but couldn't find a solution.

I don't believe I have any trouble with Sharpen or the AWarpSharpen using KMPlayer on mkv files. Hmm... maybe I'll have to double check this when I get home.
