i have a 3 year old set of promedia 5.1 speakers. the amp died on it a few weeks ago. the subs still kick, but there is nothing but crackling noises coming from the sats. its going to cost me $120cad to have them fixed. the shop klipsh told me to contact about repairs seems kinda shadey. id rather fix it myself but im not sure where the problem lies. i pulled the amp out of the box and looked over it. everything looked solid as far as i could see, but without a dmm, thats as far as i can go unless i know what component needs to be replaced. has anyone repaired this on thier own? i'd like to get these guys fixed without busting my wallet

I have the Ultra 5.1's which suposedly fix the amp failure (so far so good).. Anyways I heard Klipsch usually charges you 60.00 US and sometimes ship you out a New Ultra 5.1 Set? I read this over at the klipsch trouble forums. ;) Good luck
