I'm looking to get a pair in the not-so-distant future and was wondering what kind of price is a good price for them? I've shopped around now and have seen a lot of prices but you know how it is...sometimes a sale will be right around the corner. I have only been shopping for them for a couple of days so I don't know how the price fluctuates.

Right now the best I can find is 135 at BestBuy (with coupon) and no shipping (I can pick it up in store). So would you say that's a good deal? Great deal? Poor deal?

Any input is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks for your time.

GET THEM NOW!!! that's the best deal you'll find. you'll never see klipsch speakers (or very rarely) below MSRP, so for that price thy are a steal. go get them!!!! BTW thats about $25 cheaper than you'll find them anywhere else. the prices on klipsch speakers dont fluctuate.

Hah, when I bought mine you could only find them for msrp around $180. You'd be lucky find anything below 150, and 135 is damn good. And if that guy is telling the truth about $70 on ebay, fuck! definitely go for that.

Well there are only a few new ones and they're about 105+ shipped with some time left to go before the end of the auction.

There are plenty of used ones that are cheap but I don't think I want to go that route.

i'd kind of shy away from ebay for speakers..... if you have a defective set you'll have to pay about $30 out of your pocket to ship them back.

You can get a refurbished one directly from Klipsch for 99 US. I don't know if they still have them.

geez, i posted this in the hot deals section a week ago or so, but circuit city had a closeout sale on klipsch speakers and I got my promedia 5.1(non ultra) for 149.99. They had 2 sets in Augusta, GA but they are gone now. They still have the Klipsch GMX 5.1 for $129.99, and what is funny is that right next to it are the Klipsch GMX 2.1 for $149.99. Awesome deal, I got hella lucky

I'm surprised circuit city even had any original promedia's left, considering they stopped making them a while ago and most retailers only carried 1 or 2 sets at a time anyway. That is a sweet fucken deal for a set of the original 5.1's, though, congrats!

Oh yea, and don't, repeat DON'T, buy the GMX. They are total crap and an unusual downgrade in the Klipsch standard.
