Did I blow my subwoofer? Basicly, I had my playlist on, and went to make breakfast. It went from a mild base song "under the bridge" to "mayonaise" by smashing pumpkins. I could feel the floor under me shake 2 rooms away =(

I ran back to the computer and lowered the volume, but I think it was too late, because the bass cut out on me on and off for awhile. I unplugged the sub for 20 minutes and turned it back on, and checked the fuse. Now it works, but should I be worried? I really don't want to buy a new speaker set, but the ultra 5.1 looks badass heh.
 
I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again

Its probably fine....I leave it off when I'm not on the computer just to let it cool off
 
Nope, looks like it cut off for good. Crap. Anyone know if I can buy just another sub by itself? help very much appricated.
 
Go to a local car stereo shop that sells JL Audio products and buy their JL Audio 6W0 driver. It's a perfect fit for the Klipsch SW. I have one in my set and it kicks ass over the stock Klipsch driver.
 
So you replaced the old stock driver with the JL but keeping everything else?
I've seen pics of the stock driver, they look cheap, same goes for the midranges but still produces good sound. Im looking for a replacement for the stock drivers.
 
Yeah the stock driver in the sub can be replaced with the JL Audio 6W0. No mods necessary. JL Audio 6W0 costs $79
