So I picked up a set of Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers of eBay for rather cheap and as luck would have it, this is one of those get what you pay for experiences. While the satillites work great, the subwoofer makes a noticable rattling noise while producing the bass. The driver appears intact, but I cant get the grill off for further analysis. I was wondering if this is a known problem with the sub, or if it could even be a problem with the crossover on one of the sats. If it is a problem with the sub, is it safe to open the box up to try to fix it? Thanks in advance for any help.

i have the older 4.1's if they are the same you can unscrew the back and see if something came lose. it might be something in the box it self.

Well, I got the grill of and unscrewed the speaker itself and gave it a good shake... put it back in, and now it works great!!
