My fiancee wants a Kinect, but we have an old Xbox 360 PRO with the 20gb HDD. I'm just wondering if it'll work straight out of the box or do I need to purchase any additional equipment to make it work.

Also, it comes with a USB extension cable so you can route your wireless adapter USB connection to one of the front USB ports. It's kind of kludgy, but it works.
I have the same exact system and it works just fine. Everything you need will be in the box and will work!
You might have to grab an update or two from XBoxlive for the Kinect, but other than that.... you are golden!

I would consider a HD upgrade. Although the Kinect games are fun they come in two categories.
One are ones to be played all the time so they'll take up hard drive space continuously. These are exercise and dance usually.
The other category is a story game where you go through to some conclusion. They don't seem to have the replay value and depth of a regular game, at least to me. So you may end up going through a lot of them. That will also eat up hard drive space if more than one person is playing games because chances are one person has moved ahead while the other person isn't finished.
20 is doable. Just might bump against it from time to time.
