Kindle paperwhite burn in?

Hi All,

Has anyone encountered a burn in issue with their Kindle paperwhite?

I thought E-ink displays were not prone to burn in, but I definitely can see some noticable burn in on mine.

Mine is fine. The cycling ads on it almost certainly prevent anything from getting burned in. Maybe the "special offers" are finally paying off

Thx for the feedback.. for instance on that photo above, I can see the word "two" pretty clearly.

I contacted Amazon and they are unwilling to replace the device even though I've only had it for a year. Kinda disappointing..

Do you have it set to refresh every page? If not it will get like this after a few pages, just the nature of e-ink. If it bothers you there's a setting to adjust the page refresh interval.
